JD Advising’s Accountability Program
JD Advising’s Accountability Programs are structured, high-touch bar preparation offerings designed for repeat takers who need consistent oversight, expert guidance, and meaningful accountability—without the fully bespoke and immersive nature of the Pass the Bar Guaranteed Program.
These programs are ideal for students who benefit from external structure, regular check-ins, and defined expectations, while still maintaining the flexibility to balance work or other responsibilities. Unlike traditional bar prep, the Accountability Programs emphasize sustained engagement, monitoring, and timely intervention throughout the prep cycle to keep students on track and progressing.
Program Structure and Philosophy
Our Programs operate within a clearly defined framework that combines substantive instruction, extensive one-on-one tutoring, and ongoing oversight. While the programs are not fully customized from the ground up, each student’s experience is tailored within the program structure based on diagnostic results, performance data, and evolving needs.
Students are supported throughout the entire bar preparation cycle through scheduled check-ins, proctored exams, mastery-focused instruction, and continuous access to JD Advising resources and staff. The emphasis is on consistency, follow-through, and accountability rather than self-directed preparation.
UBE Accountability Program
The UBE Accountability Program is designed for UBE repeat takers who want intensive support and accountability within a structured, closely monitored system, while still allowing the flexibility to continue working if necessary.
Students are required to enroll in JD Advising’s Live Premium Course, which serves as the substantive foundation of the program. In addition to the course, students receive more than 60 hours of private tutoring, a comprehensive diagnostic assessment, and regular oversight to ensure progress across all components of the Uniform Bar Exam.
A defining feature of this program is continuous accountability. Students complete daily progress tracking, weekly memorization quizzes, and participate in weekly check-in meetings with a Program Administrator. Preparation is reinforced through live, proctored simulated bar exams and participation in Mastery Classes covering the MBE, MEE, and MPT.
If a student does not pass the bar exam after meeting all engagement requirements, JD Advising provides continued structured support. This includes access to a Repeat Taker Course, additional private tutoring, and a bar exam consultation to reassess and refine the student’s strategy.
This program is best suited for students who want strong structure and oversight, substantial tutoring, and a clearly defined path forward—without the full-time immersion required by the Pass the Bar Guaranteed Program.
California Accountability Program
The California Accountability Program is tailored specifically to the demands of the California bar exam and is designed for California repeat takers who need expert instruction, extensive tutoring, and consistent guidance, while maintaining greater flexibility.
Students enroll in JD Advising’s California Repeat Taker Course and receive more than 60 hours of private tutoring from tutors experienced with the California exam. The program includes California-specific mastery instruction, live proctored simulated exams, and weekly memorization quizzes to reinforce rule mastery and exam readiness.
Oversight is provided through weekly check-in meetings and ongoing JD Advising support, but the program does not require daily progress tracking. This structure recognizes the unique challenges of California bar preparation while allowing students more autonomy than the UBE Accountability Program, without sacrificing accountability.
Students who meet engagement requirements and do not pass the bar exam receive continued support, including access to a Repeat Taker Course and additional tutoring hours to help them move forward productively.
This program is well suited for California repeat takers who want a tutor-driven, structured approach with regular oversight, but who do not need or want daily monitoring or a fully immersive experience.

Students relocate to Michigan during bar prep, work out of our office, and receive hands-on support from JD Advising’s CEO and one of our top professor-level tutors, Heather Buck, throughout the study period.
